Con su victoria ante el APOEL por 0-3, el Real Madrid sigue batiendo su mejor marca de partidos consecutivos sin perder fuera de casa. Un registro impresionante, que está permitiendo al equipo blanco ser el líder y el mejor equipo visitante de Primera División. El récord anterior databa de la temporada 1988-89, cuando la plantilla dirigida por Leo Beenhakker encadenó 17 partidos seguidos sin perder fuera de casa.

Los 19 jugadores convocados por el técnico José Mourinho abandonaron el hotel de concentración para ejercitarse muy cerca del escenario del encuentro correspondiente a la ida de los cuartos de final de la Champions League.
